Édouard Manet torna a Venezia con una mostra a Palazzo Ducale fino al 18 agosto. E’ un appuntamento da non perdere: ottanta opere tra disegni, dipinti ed incisioni. Per vedere Manet bisogna prepararsi, a un’avventura con il colore intendo. E alla sua modernità, raccontata così bene da Michel Foucault, “Manet – raccontava il filosofo –  è l’inventore del  quadro come cosa colorata illuminata da una luce esterna e ha posto la condizione fondamentale affinché un giorno ci si potesse liberare della rappresentazione ». Se vi piace il concetto allora leggete il saggio che Foucault ha dedicato al grande maestro dell’ottocento, La pittura di Manet, poi una volta a Venezia capirete appieno il significato. Adorato dagli Impressionisti Manet, che ne ha sempre preso le distanze, puntava alla verità della vita alle sue storture ma anche ai suoi prodigi. “Dobbiamo  ammaliare la verità – diceva l’artista- darle l’apparenza della follia “.
