Eccomi sul tetto d’Europa, terzo sito naturale più visitato al mondo. Lui, il Monte Bianco con i suoi 4810 metri di altezza domina maestoso e imponente come deve essere per la montagna più alta d’Europa. Per gli abitanti francesi era il Mont Maudit, il monte maledetto,  pensavano che nascondesse spiriti cattivi e strani animali. Poi, con la prima scalata di Jacques Balmat e Gabriel Paccard la paura passò completamente. Raggiunsero le vette anche le donne, la prima fu Marie Paradis nel luglio dl 1808, l’impresa le valse l’appellativo di Marie du Mont Blanc. Dal centro di Chamonix, dunque, una teleferica vi porta in venti minuti esatti in mezzo a questa meraviglia e una volta arrivati, grazie alle terrazze attrezzate, godrete di una vista a 360 gradi su tutte le Alpi francesi, svizzere e italiane. Infine con un ulteriore passaggio in ascensore si accede alla terrazza della vetta, a 3.842 m di altezza. Uno spettacolo. Bisogna muoversi con calma, perché a quel livello la testa gira un po’ :).

Here I am on the roof of Europe, the third most visited natural site in the world.
