Ieri vi ho parlato dell’autore oggi della pellicola. La trasposizione cinematografica de Il Grande Gatsby, per la regia di Baz Luhrmann, arriverà nelle sale italiane il 16 maggio. L’atteso evento sarà preceduto da una intrigante esposizione di abiti realizzati da Miuccia Prada proprio per il film in questione. Sabato 11 maggio a Roma, presso la Galleria Alberto Sordi, i costumi originali di scena e alcuni oggetti saranno dunque mostrati per la prima volta in Italia. In questi casi vorrei avere il dono dell’ubiquità, ho dovuto declinare a malincuore l’invito per la serata di inaugurazione trovandomi a Bellagio per un altro bellissimo progetto. Ma l’esposizione, che sarà visibile a tutti a partire dal giorno successivo, durerà fino al 17 maggio. La collaborazione tra Prada, che si può definire ormai un cultural- brand e la costumista Catherine Martin due Oscar acchiappati per Moulin Rouge, ha dato vita a 40 abiti da cocktail e da sera ovviamente sontuosi. Il pezzo forte è il Prada d’oro, con meravigliosi cristalli applicati, ancora più luminoso sul corpo di Carey Mulligan.
