Sul perché la settimana della moda di Belgrado abbia attirato la mia attenzione è presto detto: la contaminazione intelligente delle arti. In un gioco di rimandi ed interpretazioni il programma si snoda davvero in mille congetture, tutte intersecate fra loro, tutte piene di significato.
Così come dovrebbe essere la moda: un’espressione sociale, una seconda chiave di accesso all’interpretazione della realtà.
Venerdì prossimo scenderanno dunque in campo i venti migliori designer serbi pronti per l’evento Black Celebration, una sfilata in nero dedicata nientemeno che ai Depeche Mode. Il gruppo musicale britannico, che si formò negli anni ottanta a Basildon, terrà il loro concerto a Belgrado il 19 maggio prossimo. Il mio amore incondizionato va sicuramente ad Ivana Ristic per l’eccentrica manipolazione dell’abbigliamento maschile poi riproposto nella collezione woman. Ma anche alla libertà di George Styler e alla sperimentazione di Natasa Saric.

The reason why I am writing and taking part to the Belgrado Fashion Week is easy: the smart arts contamination. A game of contaminations and references, the program is vast and very articulate, all is full of meaning and more. Friday the catwalk will host the work of the twenty best Serbian fashion designer for the Black Celebration event, the all in black fashion show inspired by Depeche Mode. The British band formed in the 80s in Basildon will play in Belgrado the 19th of May. My admiration and praise goes to Ivana Risic for the eccentric use of man clothes redesigned for women and to George Styler and Natasa Saric for their imagination and creativity.
