Alessandra Lepri Red Stories. Journalist and stylist Alessandra Lepri designed for us and for our project Cultress (Culture & Fortress) a pair of earrings, dedicated to Diana Vreeland. That’s why she chose a bright color to match the strong and determined personality of one of the most iconic women of contemporary fashion. She was, as a matter of fact, a brilliant and charming woman who lived her times aware that “every era projects a long lasting shadow”. She loved red, stating that “it is a clarifying color: shining, purifying and revealing. I just can’t get enough of red..it would be like grow tired of someone you love. I chased the perfect red for all my life”.

Is it going to be red also for Patrizia?
“Especially for her, as she is a Sagittarius. I created these circles because circle is the perfect structure, with no start and ending, it a democratic form. They are made of lurex and embroidered with bright red bohemian crystals which represent the stars inscribed in hoops and they remind me of a mandala. Once again, for me red is pure energy, a vibrant color that screams the elegance of trying and the certainty of a choice.”

Sono dedicati a Diana Vreeland gli orecchini Fibrae che la giornalista e stilista Alessandra Lepri ha disegnato per il progetto Cultress. Ha puntato sul colore acceso per una personalità forte e senza mezze misure, come lo era una della più grandi icone della moda contemporanea. Una donna brillante e fascinosa  che ha vissuto il suo ruolo dentro la storia, ben conscia che “ogni epoca proietta un’ombra lunghissima”. 
La Vreeland adorava il colore rosso: “E’ il grande chiarificatore: brillante, purificatore e rivelatore. Non potrei mai stancarmi del rosso: sarebbe come stancarsi della persona che ami. Per tutta la vita ho inseguito il rosso perfetto” .
Dunque rosso anche per Patrizia?
“Soprattutto per lei, che è Sagittario. Ho realizzato questi cerchi perché è la forma perfetta che apre e chiude, è la forma continua e democratica.  Sono lavorati in lurex attorno a supporti semirigidi e rappresentano una stella inscritta in un cerchio ricordando un mandala. Sono ricamati con cristalli di bohemia e sfaccettati rosso cangiante. Un colore che è energia pura, vibrante il colore preferito dalla storica Direttrice di Vogue, l’eleganza di chi osa con la certezza della scelta.
